En lärobok för livet / Christer Karlsson.

Title: En lärobok för livet / Christer Karlsson.
Translated title: A schoolbook for life.
Author(s): Karlsson, Christer.
Date: 1997.
Publisher: Tromsø, Norway: Senter for samiske studier
Language: Swedish.
In: Stat, religion, etnisitet. (1997.),
Abstract: Paper deals with Saami future, seen from 1900, through Nomad School's Swedish three part reader, written by Prof K B Wiklund. It was used in both tent schools for 8-10 year olds and fixed schools. One reason for writing in Swedish was number of Saami dialects; subject matter was to be on matters important to Saami reindeer herders, with some exotics - tigers etc. G Park, Saami, added sections on tourists, racial biology applied to Lapps, dangers of alcohol, Muhammad, Buddha and Christianising of Saami. Wiklund's helpers took opposite views on books, but several generations have been brought up on them.
