Samemisjon 1888-1925 i et organisasjonshistorisk perspektiv / Jorunn Lye.

Title: Samemisjon 1888-1925 i et organisasjonshistorisk perspektiv / Jorunn Lye.
Translated title: The Saami Mission - history of an organisation.
Author(s): Lye, Jorunn.
Date: 1997.
Publisher: Tromsø, Norway: Senter for samiske studier
Language: Norwegian.
In: Stat, religion, etnisitet. (1997.),
Abstract: Norsk Finnemisjon was set up in 1888. It followed various revivals and initiatives, including herrnhutters and Santal Mission. Many free churches set up their own Saami missions, many from West with strong lay character. Sections deal with setting up, politics (to resist harsh Norwegianisation), orginisation, membership, aims, rules, growth and social work, and change from high to low churchmanship, nearer to Laestadians, whom it had originally set out to confront.
