Abstract: Article has subtitle - baptism customs in Jokkmokk's congregation - and focuses on priestly baptisms and alternative "need" baptism, carried out by family, and its frequency at different times. Obviously mother had to be with baby to feed it, but was not for some time strong enough to take it far. Priests seem to have carried out confirmatory questioning afterwards.
