Record #144243:

Cambrian shelf stratigraphy of North Greenland / Jon E. Ineson, John S. Peel.

Title: Cambrian shelf stratigraphy of North Greenland / Jon E. Ineson, John S. Peel.
Author(s): Ineson, Jon E.
Peel, John S.
Date: 1997.
In: Geology of Greenland Survey Bulletin. (1997.), Vol. 173 (1997)
Abstract: Lower Palaeozoic Franklinian Basin is extensively exposed in northern Greenland and Canadian Arctic islands. For much of early Palaeozoic, basin consisted of southern shelf bordering craton and northern deep-water trough. Boundary between shelf and trough shifted southwards with time. In North Greenland, evolution of shelf in Cambrian is recorded by Skagen Group, Portfjeld and Buen Formations and Brønlund Fjord, Tavsens Iskappe and Ryder Gletscher Groups. Lithostratigraphy of these last three groups forms main focus of paper.
