Abstract: Owl is recent immigrant, having spread from 1912 to most parts. No microtines are found, so it eats wood mice, purple sandpipers and other birds, as determined from 81 pellets at roost sites in SW and West Iceland. Here birds were 69% of biomass, while in northern Europe they are 10%.
