Abstract: "Norway" refers to background to discussion and to nationality of main sources. Chapter considers three approaches to religious education - subject-based communication, existential hermeneutics (starting from meaning created in human sphere, unintelligible in Norway without Christianity), and narrative education, with text itself as message, and essential that narrations of students and Bible meet. Fourth approach, attempting to combine others, is culture-based - religion must be experienced within context of local culture.
