Abstract: In 1860, priest in Kemsky district, Archangel, reported attempt to spread Catholicism in northern Norway. Pomors in Norway were being influenced. Jenkovsky introduced himself as "Father Stepan" and used "Jesuitical slyness". Books distributed were published in Paris by Jesuit, Prince Gagarin, with aim of converting Orthodox to Uniat doctrine.
