Record #143936:

Reinvestigation of the interglacial pollen flora at Leveäneimi, Swedish Lapland / Ann-Marie Robertsson.

Title: Reinvestigation of the interglacial pollen flora at Leveäneimi, Swedish Lapland / Ann-Marie Robertsson.
Author(s): Robertsson, Ann-Marie.
Date: 1997.
In: Boreas. (1997.), Vol. 26(2) (1997)
Abstract: Till-covered organic sediments were re-investigated to gather more detailed information on vegetation history and climatic conditions during interglacial period. Organic sequence is still correlated with Eemian, but forests were probably more open during interglacial than suggested earlier. This is based on higher values of Juniperus pollen noted, and continuous curve for Populus pollen during later part of interglaciation. Comparisons are made with other sites in northern Europe, and possibilities of separating Eemian deposits from those of Holsteinian interglaciation are discussed.
