Title: Breeding distribution and abundance of the great cormorant Phalacrocorax carbo carbo in Greenland / David Boertmann, Anders Mosbech.
Author(s): Boertmann, David.
Mosbech, Anders.
Date: 1997.
In: Polar Research. (1997.), Vol. 16(2) (1997)
Abstract: Greenland population of great cormorant numbers 2000-3000 pairs which breed in about 110 colonies along 1000 km of coast in central and northern West Greenland. Number of colonies has increased and breeding range has expanded in recent decades, believed to be due to reduced hunting pressure. Number of nests per colony is smaller than in European colonies.
