| Abstract: | Tradition holds that three groups are uncountable in Iceland: Islets in Breidhafjord, lakes in Tvídaegra and "hóls" in Vatnsdal. "Hóls" are hummocks in northern Iceland, once thought to be glacial moraines. Then they were thought to be rock avalanche deposits. Author considers them to be hummocky push moraines, modified by ablation of interior ice. |
