Record #143841:

Dynamic sea-level change during the last deglaciation of northern Iceland / Mats Rundgren, Ólafur Ingólfsson, Svante Björck, Hui Jiang, Haflidhi Haflidhason.

Title: Dynamic sea-level change during the last deglaciation of northern Iceland / Mats Rundgren, Ólafur Ingólfsson, Svante Björck, Hui Jiang, Haflidhi Haflidhason.
Author(s): Rundgren, Mats.
Ingólfsson, Ólafur.
Björck, Svante.
Jiang, Hui.
Haflidhason, Haflidhi.
Date: 1997.
In: Boreas. (1997.), Vol. 26(3) (1997)
Abstract: Detailed reconstruction of deglacial relative sea-level changes, based on litho- and biostratigraphy of lake basins, indicates overall fall of c. 45 m between 9 300 and 7 100 BC, corresponding to isostatic rebound of 77 m. Regression was interrupted by two minor transgressions during late Younger Dryas and in early Preboreal, probably caused by combination of expansions of local ice caps and readvances of inland ice sheet. Mean absolute uplift and uplift rates are given for some phases.
