Abstract: Presents results of sampling studies carried out on 83 stream reaches from four drainage basins in central portions of Axel Heiberg and Ellesmere islands. Streams included small snowmelt tributaries, those flowing through wetlands, pond outflows, glacial meltwaters, and large trunk rivers. Overall stream macroalgal flora relatively small (15 species) compared with other regions of North America.
