| Abstract: | Structures and occurrence of sea ice sediments and ice-related algae at base of floe were observed in summer 1995. Recordings at 12 stations in northern Laptev Sea and adjacent Arctic Ocean showed large variations. On medium scale, level ice and deformed floes as well as whole rafted, stacked floes were found. Under floes small bulges, depressions and holes were found. Sediment inclusions occurred in diffuse or concentrated forms or in parallel streaks. Ice-related algae were visible as green areas under floes or as hanging threads. Some explanations of structures are offered. |
