Abstract: Winter was exceptional in terms of stratospheric conditions over northern Scandinavia. Lowest stratospheric temperatures ever were recorded, with strong and long-lasting Polar stratospheric clouds. This resulted in largest observed ozone depletion in northern hemisphere.
