Abstract: Peat soils occur here on slopes and terraces, adequately moistened and fertilized largely with bird excrement. Formations are moss peats, decomposing weakly or moderately to c. 0.5 m depth. Content of organic matter is 30-90%, but higher in terrace peats, which are more acidified than slope peats. Element contents are given.
