| Abstract: | Study deals with interaction during winter, manifested by opposite air temperature between area of Cuba/Florida and seas off NE America, changes in Labrador Current activity with winter changes in air temperature deviation in Florida Straits, and changes in number of icebergs crossing parallel 48 deg. N in given year. Such mechanism can only operate in winter, when stream of heat coming from ocean is big enough compared with solar radiation to modify atmospheric circulation over NW Atlantic. |
