Abstract: Presents case study illustrating how findings from harvesting research contributed to satisfactory settlement from Northwest Territories Workers Compensation Board for group of Hall Beach hunters injured during hunting. Author argues that this case supports view that research is best carried out on basis of "curiosity" rather than "advocacy".
