Record #142331:

Why are earthquakes nudging the pole towards 140°E? / Giorgio Spada.

Title: Why are earthquakes nudging the pole towards 140°E? / Giorgio Spada.
Author(s): Spada, Giorgio.
Date: 1997.
In: Geophysical Research Letters. (1997.), Vol. 24(5) (1997)
Abstract: Shows that collective tendency of earthquakes to displace pole of rotation of Earth in preferred direction (ca 140°E) results from combined effects of geographical distribution of hypocentres and prevailing dip-slip nature of large earthquakes in this century.
