Record #141869:

Three-dimensional simulation of river ice jams / Mark A. Hopkins, Steven F. Daly, James H. Lever.

Title: Three-dimensional simulation of river ice jams / Mark A. Hopkins, Steven F. Daly, James H. Lever.
Author(s): Hopkins, Mark A.
Daly, Steven F.
Lever, James H.
Date: 1996.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Civil Engineers
In: Cold Regions Engineering. The Cold Regions Infrastructure : an International Imperative for the 21st Century. Proceedings of the 8th International Conference, held 12-16 August 1996, Fairbanks, AK. (1996.),
Abstract: Uses three-dimensional discrete element model coupled with one-dimensional depth-averaged unsteady hydraulic model to simulate river ice jam formation. Calculates energetics of ice jam formation, and simulates ice accumulation at river constrictions and behind ice control structures.
Notes:
