Record #141748:

Vertical migration of diesel into silty sand subject to cyclic freeze-thaw / K.W. Biggar, J.C.R. Neufeld.

Title: Vertical migration of diesel into silty sand subject to cyclic freeze-thaw / K.W. Biggar, J.C.R. Neufeld.
Author(s): Biggar, K. W.
Neufeld, J. C. R.
Date: 1996.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Civil Engineers
In: Cold Regions Engineering. The Cold Regions Infrastructure : an International Imperative for the 21st Century. Proceedings of the 8th International Conference, held 12-16 August 1996, Fairbanks, AK. (1996.),
Abstract: Gives results from laboratory experiments on contamination of silty sand by diesel. Shows considerable migration of diesel into saturated uncontaminated soil which was subjected to cyclic freezing and thawing, but no contamination was observed in permanently frozen soil.
