Modeling of contaminant transport in ground water in areas of discontinuous permafrost / Ron Johnson, Douglas L. Kane, Larry Hinzman, Greg Light, Ann Farris.

Title: Modeling of contaminant transport in ground water in areas of discontinuous permafrost / Ron Johnson, Douglas L. Kane, Larry Hinzman, Greg Light, Ann Farris.
Author(s): Johnson, Ron.
Kane, Douglas L.
Hinzman, Larry.
Light, Greg.
Farris, Ann.
Date: 1996.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Civil Engineers
In: Cold Regions Engineering. The Cold Regions Infrastructure : an International Imperative for the 21st Century. Proceedings of the 8th International Conference, held 12-16 August 1996, Fairbanks, AK. (1996.),
Abstract: Describes use of solute transport models incorporating advection and dispersion in studying migration of contaminants dissolved in groundwater. Tracer tests allowed estimation of key aquifer parameters. Plume migration showed possible westward migration, with permafrost direction affecting direction of flow.
