| Abstract: | Examines changes in distribution of amphibia, birds and small mammals in areas of oil and gas exploitation and compares with unaffected areas. Data was collected in area ranging from central taiga to subarctic tundra (Surgut, Noyabrsk, Novaya Urengoy, and Yamburg). Assesses link between heterogeneity of animal populations with changes in environment due to mining. Includes tabulated information on all species observed. |
