| Abstract: | Uses high-resolution atmospheric numerical model output, remote sensing imagery and Russian meteorological data to examine ice transport through narrow strait. Shows moderate westerly winds are sufficient to move sea ice from Kara Sea to Laptev Sea, possibly carrying nuclear contaminants during autumn ice growth. |
