Veiledningstjenesten i sør: Et forbilde for Finnmark? / Dag T. Elgvin.
Title: | Veiledningstjenesten i sør: Et forbilde for Finnmark? / Dag T. Elgvin. |
Translated title: | The advisory service in the south: a model for Finnmark?. |
Author(s): | Elgvin, Dag T. |
Date: | 1996. |
Language: | Norwegian. |
In: | Reindriftsnytt. (1996.), Vol. 30(4) (1996) |
Abstract: | Article recounts post-war problems of Riast/Helling district, some conflicts with courts over unmarked deer, final agreement about goals of reindeer-keeping, and rational culling of herds for most production. In Finnmark there are so many small herds and little chance, especially with greater range on snowmobiles, of pinning blame for misuse of grazing. Also, advisory service is not so well trusted, partly because training courses apparently took so little notice of experience gained over many generations. Successful changes must follow agreed goals. |
