Abstract: Ice margin reconstructions of ice sheet during last glacial maximum are based on published onshore field evidence, supplemented with recent studies on East Greenland shelf and results of current field work in Scoresby Sound area. Additional evidence comes from pattern of Holocene uplift and frequency distribution of more than 1000 ¹⁴C dates. Coverage and probable pattern of break-up are described. Ice was discharged both by calving and melting. Maximum Holocene uplift was attained in areas of 10 ka ice margin.
