Abstract: 107 Palaeo-Eskimo sites are now known from district; most have yielded surface collections of stone tools and flakes of various materials. Paper presents material, and method for analysing its chronological aspects, initially into Saqqaq and Dorset groups. Use of beach ridge chronology as possible means of dating sites in district is discussed. Isostatic land uplift is explained, with rises of up to 140 m since last ice age.
