| Abstract: | Swedish version of chapter on benthic fauna and heavy metals in ecosystem. Reports on 1994 monitoring, when periphyton, water moss and benthic communities were studied. Largest change since previous survey was improvement downstream from Karasjok, because of better sewage system. River seems sensitive to organic loading, but not to acidification. Trace metal concentrations in water, in water mosses and in caddis larvae (Hydropsychidae) were low and typical of pure water. |
