OCIO, NO₂ and O₃ total column observations over Iceland / M. Gil, O. Puentedura, M. Yela, C. Parrondo, D.B. Jadhav, B. Thorkelsson.
Title: | OCIO, NO₂ and O₃ total column observations over Iceland / M. Gil, O. Puentedura, M. Yela, C. Parrondo, D.B. Jadhav, B. Thorkelsson. |
Author(s): | Gil, M. Puentedura, O. Yela, M. Parrondo, C. Jadhav, D. B. Thorkelsson, B. |
Date: | 1996. |
In: | Geophysical Research Letters. (1996.), Vol. 23(23) (1996) |
Abstract: | Ground-based observation by differential UV-Visible spectroscopy at twilight during full winter of 1993/94 at Reykjavík (64 degN, 23 degW) are presented. No direct evidence of ozone depletion was seen, but significant amounts of OCIO were seen in December and January, when NO₂ was at annual minimum. NO₂ columns were found to be controlled by hours of light and modulated by lower stratosphere temperature. |
