Abstract: Reports results of surveys of four different freshwater habitats (moss banks, moraine ponds, nearshore ponds, and thaw ponds). 20 monogonont species found in Spitsbergen, 11 on King George Island, Euchlanis dilatata and Notholca salina being most common species respectively.
