Abstract: Objectives of five-year research programme carried out in Nelchina study area are: 1. to track more accurately dynamics of moose population; 2. to determine which causal variables (e.g. weather, predation, habitat, hunting) drive population changes; and 3. to help identify possible management strategies to anticipate or halt moose population declines and increase human harvests.
