| Abstract: | Book gives results of marking from 1948-1986. Brief history of marking from 1905 is given, followed by description of types of mark used, national fleets mainly involved and calculation of catch coefficient. Figures are then broken down in various ways - time, area (relating place recovered to place marked), ages - and tabulated or mapped. Most of book is on cod, but similar studies were made of more delicate, less mobile haddock. |
