Abstract: Authors went with Geological Research to coast to examine two abandoned hut sites, in order to reach historical overview of settlement in Inglefield Land, to describe new finds inland, and to try to place ruins in historical perspective. Hut sites were discovered from air, so many others may await finding. History since European discovery includes influx from Canada with new techniques such as bow and arrow, enabling reindeer hunting to start. Sites are described in detail, with aspects of linguistic and other links with Canadian Inuit.
