Translated title: The trading post at Thule.
Author(s): Petersen, Klaus.
Date: 1996.

In: Grønland. (1996.), Vol. 6 (1996)
Abstract: Article analyses post during private period 1910-1937 concerning its origin, principles under which it was run and its relationship to Denmark and rest of Greenland. Brief history of relations with West is given with account of bureaucratic manoeuvrings. Rasmussen's link was with Missionselskab and its station that he helped set up. His three main attitudes to post were colonial politics, as base and funding for exploration and research, and as base for trade with Inuit. Parts played by Freuchen and Nielsen in running post are also related.
