| Abstract: | East Greenland continental margin from 66 to 68°N consists of major fjord/trough system that extends from Kangerlussuaq Fjord and Trough to Denmark Strait. Measurements of temperature and salinity of water column along transect show that "warm" water (0-2°C) underlies surface Polar water of East Greenland Current. Series of short cores along transect have enough foraminifera for suite of AMS¹⁴C dates to be obtained. These dates and measurements of sediment density, with percentages of total organic carbon and biogenic silica, show fluxes of organic and inorganic sediment over last 1-14 ka. |
