| Abstract: | Member formed at end of second of three volcanic cycles in Paleocene formation. It consists of brown aphyric and feldspar-phyric basalts and forms marker horizon within grey picritic rocks of formation. Article describes production of basalts and some eruption centres. Tectonic control is inferred to be important in ending volcanic cycle and leading to creation of magma chambers where fractionation and contamination took place. Article describes relationship of member to whole Nuussuaq region and its development. |
