| Abstract: | Knowledge of beach level over time is important for archaeologists from many angles. Beach changes can explain why dwellings from certain periods are absent, but can also give idea of where to look for sites and help to date finds. Reasons are given for some sites being further from beach than normal. Finds of stone carvings are described. Linking of archaeology and geology enables researchers to refine results of both. |
