Abstract: Combined information from two different satellite sensors provides an insight into the ice-transport processes along the coast of Greenland. Additional in-situ sea-ice thickness measurements allow a conversion of the spatial transport into a sea-ice mass flux. The derived absolute values in this study are in a good agreement with other estimates proposed. The seasonal and spatial distributions of the mass flux allow further predictions of the meridional melting and freezing processes along the East Greenland Current.
