Record #140047:

Sea-ice drift in the East Greenland current / T. Martin.

Title: Sea-ice drift in the East Greenland current / T. Martin.
Author(s): Martin, T.,
Date: 1996.
Publisher: Cambridge: Sea Ice Group, Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge
In: ESOP. European Subpolar Ocean Programme. Sea ice - ocean interactions. Volume 1. (1996.),
Abstract: Satellite data was used to monitor the sea-ice drift velocity, as a way of estimating the fresh-water flux of the East Greenland Current. An automatic drift algorithm was employed and optimised to work with AVHRR data. This investigation covers the years 1993 and 1994. Seasonal and spatial distributions of the sea-ice drift were derived. The maximum drift velocities occur during the period from October until December in the Fram Strait area.
