Abstract: | Stomatal conductances of leaves were determined with steady-state porometer and related to atmospheric parameters (water vapour deficit, soil moisture potential and photoactive radiation) by nonlinear regression equation. Characteristic bulk aerodynamic conductances were found using 3-layer canopy model for evapotranspiration and results tested using 27 cut birches. Ecological implications near treeline are discussed. |
