Abstract: 250 excavations and drillings were carried out from 1980-1990. Paper presents results from five key localities. Pleistocene stratigraphy in Finnmark extends from 300 ka ago to present and includes palaeosols, water- laid sediments and tills from at least seven glaciations in last three major 100 ka glacial cycles.
