| Abstract: | Icebreaker Oden went on research voyage to North Pole. One project was 100 m core from bottom of Arctic Ocean. Article describes problem of getting core from 1000 m into ship. In event, deep bore was not achieved, partly because of plastic casing for borer. However, useful experience was gained and data from shallower bores was valuable. |
