Record #139827:

Larsen der blev vaek/ Larsen peeruttoq / Poul-Erik Philbert.

Title: Larsen der blev vaek/ Larsen peeruttoq / Poul-Erik Philbert.
Translated title: Larsen who got lost.
Author(s): Philbert, Poul-Erik.
Date: 1996.
Language: Danish and Greenlandic.
In: Forskning i Grønland = Tusaat. (1996.), Vol. 1 (1996)
Abstract: Ice is melting all round Antarctica. This may be danger signal of sea level rising catastrophically from human causes, but it may also be natural development. Larsen and other shelves along Antarctic Peninsula have decreased considerably, and BAS results show probable rise of 2 1/2° in last 50 years. Larsen-A took its departure in just 50 days. 8 maps show Wordic ice shelf from 1936 to 1992. Ole Humlum at Zackenberg station believes that cycles may be detected from 18th Cent.
