| Abstract: | Examines qualities attracting tourists to Arctic in general and Finnish Lapland in particular using advertsiements in Finnish newspapers. Analysis reveals unused attraction potential, especially in categories of history and folk culture. Concludes with discussion of threats posed by increasing tourism.
