| Abstract: | Based on analysis of 22 pairs of radiocarbon dates on driftwood and bowhead whale bones from raised beaches, dates on whale bone and terrestrial plant detritus from startigraphic section, and 25 additional dates on whale bones from lowest raised beaches in eastern Canadian Arctic suggests marine reservoir correction of -200 years for normalized age determinations on bone collagen from bowhead whale in this region. |
