Abstract: Two very different glaciers of the North Patagonian Icefield have similar trends of retreat and advance. Meteorological records indicate that these glaciers lie in a highly sensitive area between two climatic regions. Maps, aerial photographs, early records and tree-ring data are used to investigate the oscillations.
