Spatial and environmental components of variation in the distribution patterns of sub-Arctic plant species at Kevo, N Finland - a case study at the meso-scale level / Risto K. Heikkinen, H.J.B. Birks.

Title: Spatial and environmental components of variation in the distribution patterns of sub-Arctic plant species at Kevo, N Finland - a case study at the meso-scale level / Risto K. Heikkinen, H.J.B. Birks.

In: Ecography. (1996.), Vol. 19(3) (1996)
Abstract: Patterns of occurrence of 231 vascular plants in 362 1x1 km grids were partitioned into four categories. "Unexplained variation" was largest, with 75%. Others most plausibly were dominated by meso-scale environmental factors. Results are compared and discussed in relation to same components at broader and finer scales.
