Abstract: Provides information on uses of non-salmon fish taken in freshwater by these communities. Species covered include Arctic grayling, blackfish, burbot, Dolly Varden/Arctic char, lake trout, longnose sucker, northern pike, smelt, rainbow trout, and whitefish. Includes review of Yup'ik categories for classifying "trout" of Togiak, Igushik and Nushagak river drainages which cut across taxonomy used by western science.
