An intercomparison of a Bryan-Cox type ocean model and an isopycnic ocean model. Part 1: the subpolar gyre and high-latitude processes / Malcolm J. Roberts, Robert Marsh, Adrian L. New, Richard A. Wood.
Title: | An intercomparison of a Bryan-Cox type ocean model and an isopycnic ocean model. Part 1: the subpolar gyre and high-latitude processes / Malcolm J. Roberts, Robert Marsh, Adrian L. New, Richard A. Wood. |
Author(s): | Roberts, Malcolm J. Marsh, Robert. New, Adrian L. Wood, Richard A. |
Date: | 1996. |
In: | Journal of Physical Oceanography. (1996.), Vol. 26(8) (1996) |
Abstract: | Compares two types of model using 30 years' data on domain of North Atlantic stretching from 20° S to 82° N. Main purpose is to illuminate aspects of respective models that give realistic representation of North Atlantic circulation and physical processes, and to identify those needing improvement. |
Notes: | Journal of Physical Oceanography. Vol. 26(8) :1495-1527 (1996). |
Keywords: | 551.46 -- Oceanography, physical. 551.465 -- Oceanography, dynamics. 519.673 -- Modelling. C -- Oceanography, hydrography and hydrology. (*61) -- North Atlantic Ocean. |
