Title: | Reproduction and larval ecology of the Arctic fish species Artediellus atlanticus (Cottidae) / Christian F. von Dorrien. |
Author(s): | Dorrien, Christian F. von. |

In: | Polar Biology. (1996.), Vol. 16(6) (1996) |
Abstract: | State of maturity, egg numbers, gonadosomatic indices and relative fecundity were determined for 209 females during two expeditions of RV Polarstern to shelf off north-east Greenland, Barents Sea and Svalbard waters. Fish spawns from late summer to autumn. Total number of eggs was small due to large diameter and small size of fish. Eggs in aquaria needed 200 days to develop, with larvae of advanced appearance. |
