Record #139008:

Modeling convective transitions in the presence of sea ice / G. Lenderink, R.J. Haarsma.

Title: Modeling convective transitions in the presence of sea ice / G. Lenderink, R.J. Haarsma.
Author(s): Lenderink, G.,
Haarsma, R. J.,
Date: 1996.
In: Journal of Physical Oceanography. (1996.), Vol. 26(8) (1996)
Abstract: In a study of deep water formation the effect of a sea ice cover is determined, and the release of freshwater by melting considered. Numerical experiments are performed in order to determine the stability of an equillibrium state with ice. An convective senstive area analysis is employed to identify the potentially non-convective area in the ocean.
